Boats have always been a big part of my life and what started as a passion eventually turned into a career that’s taken me through many different areas of the marine industry.
Before working full time in the marine world, I spent 10 years in IT and telecommunications. That experience gave me strong foundations in electrical systems, communications, and an engineering-style approach to problem solving — skills that translate perfectly to modern vessels and the complex systems they rely on.
My time on the water eventually led me into the yacht industry, where I spent eight years from Deck-Engineer, Mate-Engineer, and Captain-Engineer roles from 50 to 150 foot. This gave me invaluable hands-on experience managing vessels and maintaining systems to the highest standard.
After that, I spent six years in the Whitsundays working in vessel maintenance and coaching, helping charterers build confidence on the water and delivering RYA courses while keeping boats reliable and well maintained.
Along the way, I also owned and operated a marine chandlery for seven years. That gave me a deep understanding of marine equipment, parts, and the practical solutions that actually work — not just what’s on paper.
Today, the business is based in Scarborough, servicing Brisbane’s north side, and offering a wide range of marine services — from splicing to electrical, plumbing, maintenance, installations, and vessel coaching.
Having worked across so many parts of the industry, every job is approached with the same mindset: solve problems properly, use the right equipment, and make sure boats are safe, reliable, and ready to be enjoyed.
